Wine batches produce 23 litres, which is equivalent to: (30 x 750ml; 23 x 1 Litre; 15 x 15 litre)
The timre required when you come in to prepare your wine is only 15 minutes, and approximately 45 minutes when you to come in to bottle.
The procedure to properly ferment and process your wine is very difficult to put a time limit on.
As a guide line:Concentrates take approximately 5 - 6 weeks. Juices take apporximately 8 - 10 weeks. You will be notified when your wine is ready for bottling.
Tips to remember: Always rinse your bottles once you have emptied them, use warm water and allow them to dry before putting them away. Always store your bottles upside-down in your cases.
Store your wine in a cool, dry, dark area which is 55F - 65F
Once you have bottled your wine, keep the bottles upright for approximately one week, then put the bottles on their side so the corks will remain moist and allow the wine to breathe and age.
Shelf Life: Many factors determine how long your wine will keep: temperature , humidity, light and preservatives etc. In general your wine will keep for 12 months with the amount of sulphites we use ( this is usually 1/3 the levels used in commercial purchased wines) If you would like to keep your wine longer please let anyone of our staff know so we can prepare better corks and increase your sulphite levels in the wine.
